I ordered two items on 1/25/21. Received an email saying the items shipped on 1/26/21. Received another email on 2/5/21 saying that one of the items that shipped on 1/26/21 is out of stock.
Wait, what? How can an item be out of stock ten days after it shipped?
I asked for the second item to be canceled and refunded since I bought the two items as a set. They said they couldn't refund me for the second item because it had already "shipped". Clearly, it hadn't. I waited two weeks after they told that lie and Fedex STILL has not received the items and starting moving them in my direction.
TLDR: Ordered on 1/25/21. It's 2/18/21 and they still haven't shipped my order and they refuse to refund me. I initiated a chargeback with my bank :-)
I ordered 4 pieces from GC during their Black Friday sale, and it was the one package I was most looking forward to receiving. When I finally got my package almost 3 weeks later, I was still so excited to try everything on. I got 4 items: the black high waisted leggings with pockets with the black lou bra, as well as high waisted leggings with the dylan bra, both in the color thyme.
As a very active person who lives in activewear, I have tried so many different brands and sets. These products have a great feel, generally good fit, and for the most part, are good. However, the thyme high waisted leggings gave me an insane allergic reaction on my entire lower body, causing me a rash that started exactly at the waistband and ended at my ankles. All I did was put them on to go on a walk, and in 5 minutes I had to turn back because the irritation was extremely unbearable. I don't think I've ever taken off a pair of bottoms that quickly in my life.
This is a dealbreaker that outweighs all the strong points of the other pieces in my order. I have tried bad activewear, but I have never gotten a rash from a pair of leggings (or any clothes ever, really). This was a jarring experience, and surprising too; I washed everything and experienced no issues with any of the 3 other pieces, including the other pair of leggings (maybe it was a different color and model?) ...and this was supposed to be a high-end, well-made clothing brand. I'm not sure who to reach out to or call to discuss this, as the other TrustPilot reviews don't instill within me any confidence about their customer service. I'm not quite sure whether the issue lies within the dye, material, or quality, but this is a rare experience wherein the only causal variable is these leggings. I hope they make this right.

Pros: My hoodie is comfy.
Cons: Sports bra has no support, just compression. Bottom section of bra rolls. Like, it’s ok but I wouldn’t want to be seen in it.
Big cons: Leggings reveal every flaw in your butt and legs. Every dimple. Every ripple. Exactly what a legging shouldn’t do, this does.
Typically over priced just because of its environmental credentials. There are sportswear brands that maintain environmental/ethical principles such as Apexgray that are almost half the price.

Since Fall 2020, I have bought ~4 pairs of leggings and ~9 bras from Girlfriend Collective and planned to buy more. I bought a bunch of stuff during Thanksgiving weekend and was then surprised and delighted to receive a $50 promo code as a "thank you" during the past month or so. I went to use it right away and had ~$200 worth of merchandise in my cart. The code wouldn't work. I waited a day or so thinking maybe there was just a small problem with the code that would resolve. I tried again and it didn't work so I contacted customer service who told me that I was not eligible to use the promo code and sorry bout it. I was like, "What?" They said that the code was only supposed to be sent to people who purchased things on Cyber Monday and not earlier in the weekend. I was like "Ok but I did buy things that weekend, the language in your email made it sound like this was a gift, and you should honor it." They disingenuously acted like my problem was them sending me an email by accident "We assure you it will never happen again" instead of the fact that they are not honoring a coupon they sent to me. I've been going back and forth with them for a month or so because they don't respond and when they do, they apologize for sending me an email. It's just a dishonorable way to run a business. Also, all those leggings and bras I've purchased are prob ~$700 of merchandise and I was reaching out to customer support to SPEND another $150 (using the $50 promo code on $200 of merchandise). I mean, besides the fact that this is not a way to run a business with integrity, it also doesn't make mathematical sense. Just now they said they are "not able to extend the $50 coupon" to me bc I'm not eligible but they're "happy" to send me a $20 coupon to use. I told them to keep it bc it's the integrity of the thing, not the money. They lost a customer in me and I KNOW they don't care.
If I could give this 0 stars I would. The shipping has been a mess, I’ve never received my package and now customer service will not respond to my emails requesting a refund. Please do not order from this seller if you want to get you product or failing that get your money back. Absolutely unacceptable behavior.
Beautiful quality and ethically made leggings and shorts.
I ordered from the US site on Black Friday and received my order in the UK on 16/12/20 which was faster than I was expecting due to covid delaying shipping, as well as buying products from the US in the past and then taking much longer..
Quality is beautiful and the leggings and shorts are squat proof, don’t fall down and are really comfortable. After years of wearing leggings as a dancer these are probably my favourite yet.
One item got cancelled as it was no longer available but it was a Black Friday offer so this didn’t surprise or bother me as I understand the difficulties covid has caused.
Reached out to customer service twice, once regarding their factories and wanting some more information on their transparency and got a really quick, helpful response. Also contacted them regarding the item that was cancelled and they got back to me within a few days and were really helpful.
Brilliant referral and rewards programme too, no complaints at all!
I ordered from Sports Edit and received my shorts and paloma bra within a few days. The recycled material is good quality and the colours are lovely. The shorts are very comfortable and long enough that they won’t ride up like I’ve experienced with other brands.
The bra however doesn’t feel as though it was designed with larger chests in mind. I’m a 34D and ordered an M, and found it to be quite compressive and not very stretchy. As it doesn’t have cups, it’s all quite squeezed together from the sides, and squashed down like a pancake, which is not particularly flattering. The longline feature of the bra then means that the lower band is too large so doesn’t sit against my skin despite being tight round the chest, so going up a size would not work.
I would really recommend the leggings/shorts but it feels like the bras need some improvement for larger chests. A bra which has moulded cups would be great
Ethically produced, well made and gorgeous! I've placed a few orders with them now and I've always been happy. Their leggings are amazing and worth every penny. Their sports bras are my absolute favorite and I just got my first sweatsuit and I'm in love. My mother in law is hooked too! She's had to exchange a few things but Girlfriend has always been great about it. It does take a little longer to get your stuff - it comes from Asia and for obvious reasons is very popular. People are so spoiled anymore that they're unwilling or unable to wait for anything. If you can't handle waiting then sure, go to some big box store and they'll get it to you immediately. But if you care about the environment (they make a lot of their stuff out of recycled bottles - they'll even recycle their old leggings!) and ethical production (and want some seriously cute athletic wear) and have an ounce of patience, you will love Girlfriend.
They can't handle delivery or getting back to customers with helpful information. Placed two orders on November 24th and I reached out to them about why my orders haven't been fulfilled and got a response stating the long shipping times, but that information was already listed on their website. I reached out for a third time after my two orders still haven't been shipped out (waiting a month now) and received the same response about shipping times. One month and 2 weeks in, I received an email from customer service stating "We've been working with our fulfillment team and unfortunately, there seems to have been a processing issue with your order. Unfortunately, the record wasn't properly pushed to our fulfillment team's system and the order wasn't shipped." WOW, just WOW. I have never experienced this kind of issue with any other company. So, the customer service rep placed orders on what was currently in stock of the items I bought in November and guess what? One of the order still haven't been fulfilled and I assume it's the same issue as before, another processing issue on their end. They love to charge you without sending you anything!
Placed order Nov 27-2020. As of 12/24 it still has not arrived. I have reached out to the company via email several times. THERE IS NO PHONE NUMBER. You get a robotic replay that gives you a tracking number. My package has been at JFK since 12/14 at 4:52.
When I reached out to the company again, I got the exact same response....tracking number. Even though I love my leggings and have 4 pairs , I will not order from a company that does not have a user friendly way to respond. I am a person and expect to be treated as such. DO NOT OFFer a product you can not deliver. Now i have no Christmas present and have no idea if I WILL ever receive my order
they SAY you can return things, but don't believe it.
they have no phone number, apparently one extremely poor customer service person who is completely inept. they sent me no order confirmation, no packing slip, three different order numbers for one order. their return address is not the one listed on their site. how will they credit me with no return slip and three different order numbers? stay far away.
